Union Metal's Project Showcase

When Tuscaloosa, Alabama looked to make traffic and lighting improvements to their city, Union Metal was able to provide all of the elements desired by both the city and the University of Alabama. By working with them from the beginning design phase, Union Metal was able to assist them in making choices that would fit their safety needs while also satisfying their important aesthetic requirements. All of this resulted in an attractive addition to an already tradition rich city and university.

While working to ALDOT standards and also meeting the design requirements of the city, the flexibility of the Union Metal engineering and manufacturing capabilities continue to shine through. The historic elegance of the designs were a welcomed attribute that grace the city streets making them the gateway to the home of so many fine southern traditions. Our ability to provide different designs all with in a “family” of bases allow any city to create a streetscape with historically accurate designs and the modern requirements of today’s transportation and safety needs.
