ORGANIZATIONAL ANNOUNCEMENT – July 26, 2006

I'm pleased to announce today that the Board of Directors approved Guy Pietra's promotion to Vice President, Human Resources and confirmed him as an Officer of the company. This change is effective immediately, and Guy will continue reporting to me in his role.

Guy joined Union Metal Corporation August 23, 2005 as the Director of Human Resources. Since that time he has taken a leadership role in improving our Value-Based culture and in improving the working relationship between the management teams of the Company and the Union.

Under Guy's leadership, the Human Resource Department has effectively managed our wage and benefits programs, and improved cost controls associated with such important areas as workers compensation, absenteeism, and safety.

Additionally, Guy has helped Union Metal upgrade its talent pool and skill sets through both training programs and the recruitment process.
